Matisse: Red Room
What you'll do
Lets recreate a modern take on Matisse’s iconic red interiors. An all-red room filled with bold furniture, colorful flowers, quirky artwork on the walls!
Matisse’s believed that art should celebrate life and provide pure visual delight. Painting was not about telling a story or depicting reality realistically. Instead, it was an expression of joy, harmony, and emotional comfort through color.
Important Class Information
- This class is for adults 20 years and older as we serve alcohol.
- We provide aprons for all participants to help protect your clothing. However, we recommend dressing in clothing that you don’t mind getting paint on. Acrylic paint is difficult to remove once it dries.
- At the end of the class, you will be able to take your finished artwork home with you!
Cancellation Policy
- Full Refund: Cancel up to 3 days before the event start time.
- 25% Cancellation Fee: If you cancel between 3 days and 24 hours before the event.
- No Refund: For cancellations within 24 hours of the event start time.

Kyoto University of Art and Design (Fine Art); University of Regina, Canada (ESL course) Michi creates lots of fun paintings for many of Artbar's kids sessions! Her bright and energetic atmosphere will be sure to make your kids smile while they create masterpieces to decorate the house with. Leave it to Michi Sensei to guide your kids in a fun way during their art class!
