Matisse - Cat and Red Fish

Step into the bold world of Henri Matisse! In this session, you'll create your own colorful masterpiece featuring a playful yellow cat curiously reaching into a bowl of bright red fish.
Matisse became fascinated with goldfish (often depicted as red or orange) after his travels to Morocco, where he observed locals spending hours in quiet contemplation gazing at fish bowls—a serene ritual that symbolized a tranquil, mindful state of mind and an idyllic "paradise lost."
For Matisse, painting these fish became a personal meditation and a way to express his ideal of art as a soothing, balancing force

Important Class Information

• This class is for adults 20 years and older as we serve alcohol.
• We provide aprons for all participants to help protect your clothing. However, we recommend dressing in clothing that you don’t mind getting paint on. Acrylic paint is difficult to remove once it dries.
• At the end of the class, you will be able to take your finished artwork home with you!

Cancellation Policy

• Full Refund: Cancel up to 3 days before the event start time.
• 25% Cancellation Fee: If you cancel between 3 days and 24 hours before the event.
• No Refund: For cancellations within 24 hours of the event start time.
